Daughter of the Sun Journal Thursday, December 16, 2004
I started the JOB this week. Monday was my first day. I worked until 7:00 on Monday and until 7:30 on Tuesday. By the time I got home, I was exhausted but I forced myself to work on music when I got home because I didn't want to stop working on my craft. I did some more mixing on "Never Gonna Be Mommy" which I'll put on the site by early next week. Not much else going on, I'm afraid. The JOB and snatching what little bit of time I have left over to work on music. I'm determined not to get side-tracked by the job though. I've made a promise to myself that I have to work at least two hours on music every day. I have off most of next week from work but of course it's the holiday season, which means family visiting, so I probably won't get much work done next week. My goal also is to have a more exciting site by the start of the new year. SHM came by the other day and insisted that I give him a disk with a poster that we made up on the spot directing people to my site. I just put my name and the site address on it. "That's all you need," SHM said. I can't wait to see what it looks like. JMP invited me down for a Christmas party that his company was hosting. Ordinarily I would have gone, taken my guitar, sang and sold a bunch of CDs but I was too exhausted after working all day and I didn't feel like going all the way home, changing and then having to go back down to the party. If Miss P called (she was invited too), I probably would have forced myself but I don't think she went either. One of my neighbors is going out of town on Friday and she's asked me to look after her cat and her apartment during her absence. Her space is much bigger than mine and facing west, which is good feng shui wise. I may move my computer and audio interface up there and just stay there while she's away, which she said is fine with her. Today's the Xmas party at EHBS. I have to pick a gift up for one of the women who works there. We can't spend more than $15 on the gift. I'm off to my favorite store, Lord of the Fleas, to find something for her. And maybe for myself as well. More soon...
